Very similar like with myetherwallet. Go to the tab "Contracts" (if you can't see that tab, go to settings and make it appear) and choose +watch. Choose "Custom contract".
Note that for the function "vote" you need choose "execute" above the contract. Also note that the read out functions do not update automatically, also not the function "voting".
Mist/Ethereum Wallet:
Should be clear after reading the above explanations.

Yup, after 2 failed attempts with 30k gas is seems 78k worked instantly for me (which was my MEW default =$2.40 in fees and $1 for each failed one). Like you said, its a great way to learn how to deal with countracts! thx

Yes but I have put it down to a coincidence!!! I did contact him but he said as gates are on an RCD it was not anything he did!!
The proposal was accepted! The USD was now opened and the assets are now transfered by multisig to the account.
The token will be traded in a few days on EtherDelta!

No Worries! It was a great learning expericence for $2. Much better than $200! And no that is not my address, mine is 0x060e... but it's all good. I got to vote! Thank you.
Sorry, that was our fault. Are you the one with the wallet 0x1e8ee.....? We refund you the the 2$.

Sorry, little correctum: You need a higher amount of gas to vote than 30'000, try 100'000-200'000
The two guys who have voted yesterday, should do it again. To check the actions see:
